Thru The Door

This is the finished piece.  The balcks and greens have been adjusted to help the viewer be drawn back into the piece and thru the dark door.  I just love the vertical pull of this piece and the haunting feel of it.

More color and adjusting contrasts

Now I’m starting to add the base color for the pebbles on the floor and adjusting the blacks. Notice the photo of the abby along side the piece I’m working on. Yes, my piece is reversed! I like the stones disappearing off to the left.

Color is starting to appear, especially the moss on the walls, along with the rich browns of the sandstone.

I’ve now added some color to tempt the viewer to peek into the windows and stroll towards the ally, smelling the damp cobblestone and lush flowerbaskets
